FK Folks

Here  our heroes, some reluctant, some willing, some along just to see what is going on.

Some are FK characters, some original characters that function in the FK Universe.

Nick Knight

Nick Knight came to New Salem looking for two people, Jenny Schanke and Natalie Lambert. Both were kidnapped, Jenny by August, the insane VtM vampire that tried to take over Toronto last WAR. Natalie was taken by Angelus as a cruel way to bait him to New Salem. It worked, and with the help of his new found childe Kat, his Lover Trapper and the rest of the Anti-August Brigade he will help justice prevail.

LaCroix

Is here...because...well, he's far too old and powerful to be left out of the war. Always intrigued by a mystery, he has accompanied his lover Angelique to new Salem in search of the reason for Angelus's tie to August. Incensed by Angelique's apparent interest in Giles, the mortal watcher, he is keeping a close watch on this couple. Then Jenny Calendar returns from the dead and Màire, his eldest child, shows up at the door to his room.

Schanke

Nick's detective partner thought it was all over with the last WAR. Man, oh man, oh man, was he wrong. First that freaky vampire chick August tore up Casa Loma, then, Jenny was kidnapped. He and Nick gathered the troops, then Nat was snatched by the Billy Idol wanna be vamp Spike. It was more than personal then, it was WAR.

Vachon

is here because New Salem is a great place to gain further slacker insight. Plus his good *friend*, Kat is here.

Trapper

Well, the reason that Trapper's there is because it's a continuation of the last war...besides, Nick asked.

Kat

Kat was perfectly happy living her current incarnation as a spoiled Georgetown brat of wealthy and powerful parents.... that is until she received an invitation to Toronto. It was addressed to her "business" name and she decided to go as her own secretary. Once there for the fundraiser, she received another mysterious summons: a Raven Card.

Her origins were foggy. She had been brought across and left alone. Never having met another vampire until Javier Vachon, she lived her entire existence among mortals. Friendships bloomed amid the chaos and Kat joined in the anti-August Brigade.

Kat returned THIS time because she needed to confront LaCroix - the man she assumed was her creator. Plus she wanted to learn about being a vamp and see her lover Vachon.

Bourbon

is a free spirited, sometimes arrogant vampire. Brought across during the mid 17th century by Javier Vachon, he ran with his "crew" until almost a hundred years ago. A former Musketeer, Bourbon is a man of honor, and pretty handy in a fight. He's here to avenge the deaths of Urs and Screed, and because Vachon is here

 Camille

was brought across during the Civil War. Embracing her true nature, she enjoys the power and the freedom that being a vampire has given her. She prefers the company of other vampires, mixing with mortals only when necessary. She's here because she wanted to add some excitement to her unlife, and Bourbon wanted her to come with him.

Maire

A nearly 1,500 year old vampire as well as LaCroix's first child, wandered into New Salem after a strange dream. Maire's relationship with LaCroix is quite similar. They love and respect each other, but they know far too well that spending too much time together leads to long-winded arguments about the choices they've made in their unlives. Màire was the daughter of an Irish chieftain who ruled modern-day Ballina, who managed to pull a stake from LaCroix. After her father's death, Màire lived with her father's family for five years and was subjected to their abuse and murder of her fiancé, and her childhood friend. Lucius showed up, and Màire had her revenge a few nights later. Much to LaCroix's disappointment, his eldest ran to marry an old enemy about four centuries later. Despite all their disagreements, they still manage to be possessive of each other where certain other vampires were concerned.

Divia attacked Màire in New York before she returned to Toronto to mete her twisted punishment on her father.
